I experienced pain in my last wisdom tooth, but my fear of visiting the dentist worried me so much that I didnot want to get treatment done. The anxiety about what might happen made me delay the procedure. Unfortunately, my hesitation led to even more suffering. The tooth in front of my wisdom tooth decayed, and I needed treatment for both teeth. When I finally gathered the courage to get the treatment, I realized that the pain of treatment was not so much….slight pain is there but not as much as i was thinking.My experience taught me a valuable lesson: . If you sense a problem, don’t hesitate – seek help from a good dentist immediately ,don’t overthink which leads to more anxiety.

I had an adult female patient who had extreme dental phobia. She required multiple treatments but her fear kept her away from getting her teeth treated. When her situation worsened and she came to me, we decided to treat her under mild conscious sedation.Slowly we started treating her teeth and slowly she started accustoming to the dental setup.She still has some fear and anxiety but her extreme phobia has gone away .So my message to all who have extreme phobia consult a dentist who offers conscious sedation.
